NetBSD 3.0 Sound Card problem

Hello. I have a problem getting my soundcard to work on NetBSD 3.0. Its a creative labs soundblaster live 5.1 card and running dmesg shows the following

Code:

emuxki0 at pci0 dev 13 function 0: Creative Labs SBLive! EMU 10000 (audio multimedia, revision 0x0a)
emuxki0: ac97: EMC40 codec; 18 bit DAC, 18 bit ADC, no 3D stereo
emuxki0: ac97: ext id 280<AMAP,SDAC>
audio0 at emuxki0: full duplex, mmap, independent
emuxki0: interrupting at irq 11

That shows that the card is detected and the right module loaded. The problem is that I cannot get any sound from totem, beep-media-player or by doing "cat filename.mp3 > /dev/audio". Does anyone know how I can fix this problem. Thanks.

Re: NetBSD 3.0 Sound Card problem

Have you checked for any IRQ/DMA conflicts with other devices?
Maybe you have to do some manual changes in BIOS to get it working.

Re: NetBSD 3.0 Sound Card problem

The card works fine with FreeBSD 6.0 and various Linux distros on the same machine, so I doubt its conflicting with other devices. Multimedia apps seem to play but I just can't get any sound. I have tried using aumix, gnome-volume-control and xfce4-mixer but no luck.

Edit: I reinstalled NetBSD 3.0 and all the little quirks seem to have been sorted.
