MySQL, PHP and Apache installation help.
Hello,
I have been using NetBSD for some years now. At the moment I am making a web server so that I can serve my own homepages which use PHP and MySQL.
I have installed MySQL, PHP and Apache. They all work.
However I havent fully understood what else I need to install and how to configure Apache to be able to run php pages.

did you build from source or use pkgsrc?

You have probably forgot to install the PHP module for Apache (ap-php4)
To install ap-php4:
$ cd /usr/pkgsrc/www/ap-php4
$ make install distclean
Then read the MESSAGE file (/usr/pkgsrc/www/ap-php4/MESSAGE).
You need to write this in your httpd.conf file:
LoadModule php4_module lib/httpd/mod_php4.so
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Then you should change your DirectoryIndex to:
DirectoryIndex index.html index.php
